Getting Started with VocalBrief

Welcome to VocalBrief! This guide will help you get up and running with our powerful audio and video transcription and analysis tool.

  1. Overview of VocalBrief

    VocalBrief is an AI-powered platform designed to transcribe, summarize, and analyze audio and video recordings. Key features include:

    • Automatic transcription of audio and video files
    • Generation of summaries and meeting minutes
    • Clickable highlights for easy navigation
    • Meeting Coach for improving your meetings
    • AI-powered Q&A for your recordings
    • Full-text search across all your recordings

  2. How to Create an Account and Log In

    To start using VocalBrief:

    • Visit the VocalBrief website (app.vocalbrief.com)
    • Click on the “Sign Up” button
    • Choose to create an account using your email or sign up with Google, Facebook, Microsoft Account, or Apple ID
    • If using email, enter your details and create a password
    • Verify your email address if required
    • Once your account is set up, you can log in using your credentials or chosen third-party login method

  3. Navigating the Dashboard

    After logging in, you’ll see your VocalBrief dashboard:

    • “Record or Upload” button: Start a new recording or upload a file
    • “My Recordings” section: Access all your uploaded and processed recordings
    • Search icon: Perform full-text searches across your recordings
    • User profile: Manage your account settings and subscription
    • Help Center: Access additional support and resources
    1. Using VocalBrief on Mobile Devices

    VocalBrief is designed as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it on your mobile device for an app-like experience:

    • Open your mobile browser and go to app.vocalbrief.com
    • Log in to your account
    • To install the app:
      • On iOS: Tap the share icon and select “Add to Home Screen”
      • On Android: Tap the menu icon (usually three dots) and select “Add to Home Screen” or “Install App”

    This will create an icon on your home screen, allowing you to launch VocalBrief like any other app. The PWA version offers several benefits:

    • Faster loading times
    • Offline functionality for certain features
    • Regular updates without manual app store downloads

    You can use all VocalBrief features in this installed version, including recording, uploading, and reviewing your transcriptions and summaries.

Remember, whether you’re using the web version or the installed PWA, VocalBrief provides a seamless experience across all your devices.
